Fund Trace UI/UX Design using Figma

Figma is a design tool used by designers and software developers to come up with designs for apps and websites. Just like construction engineers, software developers also need a blueprint or design in order to efficiently and properly build software.

I recently got a request to create a Figma design for a fund tracking app that’s in development called Fund Trace, which is quite similar to Mkwanja, the budgeting app I’m currently working on. However, Fund Trace is more focused on tracking funds, while Mkwanja is exclusively for budgeting.

Fund Trace also has a wider scope than Mkwanja. I’ll probably explore a wider scope for Mkwanja, but for now I’ll only focus on the budgeting aspect.

Here’s the initial design I came up with.

And here’s the current version after adding colors, including some of my own ideas and implementing the client’s feedback.

You can click here to interact with the live Figma prototype. Let me know what you think of the design and what ideas you may have for us to add to the app.
